Ambrette seed extract is widely regarded as the most sophisticated and most beautiful natural musk material available to the perfumer — a botanical extract of Abelmoschus moschatus, the musk mallow plant, whose seeds produce on supercritical CO₂ extraction an extract of such remarkable softness, warmth, and sensuality that it has been used as the primary natural alternative to animal musk since the trade in genuine animal musks was restricted.
