Clove is a slender evergreen that grows up to 12 metres in height (approximately 36 feet). At the start of the rainy season, long buds appear. They change colour over time and are beaten from the trees and dried. These are the cloves sold commercially.

The Essential Oil is light golden yellow in colour and has a warm, spicy scent (just like cloves).

Pure Absolute Oils or Essential Oils should always be diluted with a carrier oil such as grapeseed oil or sweet almond oil before using on the skin. A patch test is recommended to see if your skin is sensitive to the product.
