This product is free from any additives or adulterants. It has been rigorously tested and meets the highest standards possible. No pesticides, synthetic chemicals, herbicides, GMOs or harmful chemicals are ever used during any stage of the growing or distillation process.

Organic Cypress Essential Oil is steam distilled from the cones, twigs and leaves of the Cupressus sempervirens trees which grow wild in the hills and mountains of Spain and other parts of Southern Europe. Cypress Essential Oil has a fresh clean herbaceous aroma with coniferous evergreen undertones and has a middle note in fragrance terms.

Cypress trees are long-lived and do not easily perish, indeed the latin name sempervirens means ‘ lives forever’ and this was reflected in using cypress wood in classical culture. Its natural chemical composition makes Cypress Essential Oil widely used within skin, hair care and fragrance. It can also be added to household cleansers to leave a fresh clean aroma.

Pure Absolute Oils or Essential Oils should always be diluted with a carrier oil such as grapeseed oil or sweet almond oil before using on the skin. A patch test is recommended to see if your skin is sensitive to the product. With a dilution it is not necessary to dilute the oil as it is already diluted and can be used straight on the skin although a patch test is still recommended.
