THE BACKGROUND OF ATTARS

The practice of extracting scent from flowers herbs and spices began in India and has been used there for at least 700 years by skilled artisans to produce exquisite fragrances with some attars actually improving with age like a good wine. The ageing period can last from one to ten years depending on the botanical used and the results desired.
