The Trigonella foenum-graecum plant known as Fenugreek is a native to the Mediterranean region, Western Europe and Southern Asia. Fenugreek is one of the earliest plants used by man in places such as India and China where it has been grown for thousands of years. It is not really suitable for Aromatherapy. In perfumery it provides lovely Gourmand Base Notes with its spicy nutty scent. Fenugreek Absolute which is solvent extracted rather than steam distilled is stronger and more concentrated than Fenugreek Essential Oil. Being an absolute It is also a lot harder to find and more expensive than the pure essential oil.
All pure absolutes such as this oil are now rare and extremely concentrated by nature. They should be properly evaluated in a diluted state otherwise, the complexity of the fragrance, particularly the rare and exotic notes are not properly appreciated.
For External Cosmetic Use Only
Always dilute Pure Absolutes before use on the skin. A patch test is always advised.
Avoid using all Absolutes if pregnant or nursing.
