Origin: Somalia East Africa

This premium quality Certified Organic Frankincense essential oil is hydro-distilled from the resin laden dry sap of Boswellia frereana tree which grows in the Daallo Mountains of the Sanaag region of Somaliland in East Africa. It is organically grown and no pesticides or harmful chemicals are present in growing or production. Boswellia frereana is also known as Maydi or ‘The King of All Frankincense’

Boswellia frereana has sharp fresh intensely deep and woody undertones but you can also detect lemony citrus top notes. A very unique Frankincense and one that is highly prized.

Frankincense has been revered and used in Somalia for thousands of years as spiritual incense in ritual prayer and meditation. It is now also used in high quality cosmetics.

Before using on the skin it needs to diluted with a carrier oil such as sweet almond oil or grapeseed oil. A patch test is always advised to see if your skin is sensitive to the product.

This variety of Frankincense contains high pinene, thujene and cymene giving it special properties.

Use within 12 months of opening.
