Our organically certified Pink Peppercorn Oil is steam distilled from the pinkish-red peppercorns which are harvested from the Schinus molle tree native to the Andes Mountains of Peru. Also known as the Brazilian Pepper or Peruvian Pepper, Pink Pepper is a fast-growing and drought resistant evergreen tree that grows up to 50 feet in height. Pink peppercorns resemble black peppercorns in size but have a beautiful pinkish-red appearance and a wonderfully dry spicy aroma.

Pink Peppercorn Essential Oil possesses a bright peppercorn aroma with a faintly floral note and a dry woody slightly smoky undertone . It is more subtle in scent and has brighter top notes than Black Pepper Essential Oil, indeed Black pepper oil and Pink pepper oil are chemically very different. Pink pepper oil has a middle note that can add a beautiful and unique characteristic to natural perfumery formulations.

In ancient times the Pink Peppercorn Tree, was considered a sacred tree to the Incans. They used all parts of the tree including the Pink Peppercorn fruit, as herbal solutions to good health.

This spicy essential oil blends well with many other essential oils including bergamot, clary sage, palmarosa, frankincense, lavender, orange, myrrh, ylang ylang, sandalwood, vetiver, juniper, coriander, fennel and geranium.

This product needs to be diluted with a carrier oil before using on the skin. A patch test is always advised to see if your skin is sensitive to the product.
