Rose Geranium is a perennial shrub, often used in hedgerows, and will stand up to about one metre high (3 feet) with pointed leaves, serrated at the edges and pinkish-white flowers. The oil is pale yellow green. As the name implies, many of the chemical constituents are similar to that of Rose essential oil and while it should not be mistaken as an alternative to Rose, it does have some of the Rose floral notes in a base that is both sweet and herbaceous.
Rose Geranium Essential oil is often used in diffusers as well as in soap making, skin care and massage applications.
Pure Essential Oils should always be diluted with a carrier oil such as grapeseed oil or sweet almond oil before using on the skin. A patch test is recommended to see if your skin is sensitive to the product.
