Ginger Essential Oil has a warm, spicy, woody scent with a hint of lemon and pepper.
It blends well with bergamot, sandalwood, ylang-ylang and other spice oils.
Ginger is a perennial herb and grows to about 3-4 feet high (approximately 1 metre). It has a characteristic thick spreading tuberous rhizome.
History: The plant is said to originate from India, China and Java, but is also native to Africa and the West Indies. It is believed that Ginger was brought to Europe between the 10th and 15th century.
For External Cosmetic Use Only
Pure Essential Oils should always be diluted with a carrier oil such as grapeseed oil or sweet almond oil before using on the skin.
A patch test is always recommended before use to see if your skin is sensitive to the product.
If blending into creams, lotions, body butters etc, 1-2% maximum of the pure Absolute oil or Essential oil to 100% of the product is usually about right.
