Kunzea Essential Oil is steam distilled from the white flowers, leaves and twigs of the Kunzea ambigua shrub which is a member of the Myrtle family. It grows wild in Tasmania and Australia’s eastern coast.
The Kunzea plant is commonly referred to as White Cloud due to the blossoms appearance, as well as Tick Bush as it was use to control ticks on cattle in the outback. It has a less medicinal aroma than tea tree and has a milder sensation when applied topically.
When diffused Kunzea Essential Oil helps create a refreshing and relaxing atmosphere.
Pure Absolute Oils or Essential Oils should always be diluted with a carrier oil such as grapeseed oil or sweet almond oil before using on the skin. A patch test is recommended to see if your skin is sensitive to the product. With a dilution it is not necessary to dilute the oil as it is already diluted and can be used straight on the skin although a patch test is still recommended.
