Raspberry Leaf Absolute Oil
Botanical Name – Rubus idaeus
Origin – France
Part Used – Leaves
Extraction Method – Solvent Extraction, 40% Raspberry Leaf in DPG
Appearance – Greenish brown coloured, viscous mobile liquid (pourable)
Scent – fresh herbaceous with spicy fruity undertones
Main Uses – Natural Perfumery and for creating your own blends. Cosmetic use in preparations etc.
Note – Base Notes
Natural Raspberry Absolute which is extracted from the leaves of the plant has a rich herbaceous scent with spicy, fruity undertones. It is a hard to find absolute and in perfumery would work well blended with rose and will enhance other ingredients such as tea or tobacco leaf. It is also frequently used to bring a herbaceous, fruity and green tea note to fern, chypre and fruity accords.
To make it pourable rather than being a solid form and so much easier for perfumers to work with, it is presented here as 40% in DPG which is the professional optimum amount to create your own unique blend.
Pure Absolute Oils or Essential Oils should always be diluted with a carrier oil such as grapeseed oil or sweet almond oil before using on the skin. A patch test is recommended to see if your skin is sensitive to the product.
For External Cosmetic Use Only
