The Iml sample is supplied in a clear Flint Glass bottle with metal screw cap and is ideal for testing the contents prior to buying the larger sizes.
The 5ml and 10ml bottle sizes are in Amber or clear Flint Glass bottles with tamper evident cap. Please note if buying large quantities of this item we advise purchasing a 1ml sample first to ensure that you are happy with the product as we do not refund opened items

Main Uses – Natural Perfumery, creating your own blends, cosmetic use

Crocus Sativus, commonly known as Saffron, is a perennial plant which grows up-to 20-30 cm. It bears a maximum of four flowers. Each of these blossoms have three crimson stigmas, which form at the distal end of the carpel. Most of the areas where saffron is cultivated have dry climates thus requiring irrigation however the Saffron plant survives in extreme conditions.
Saffron produces a spicy oil, which has a woody, hay like composition.
Extraction – Alcohol extraction is used extensively to extract oil from Saffron.
Pure Absolute Oils or Essential Oils should always be diluted with a carrier oil such as grapeseed oil or sweet almond oil before using on the skin. A patch test is recommended to see if your skin is sensitive to the product.
